office 2013 does not work after windows 7 auto update
it's still the 2nd Time since MS Auto Update !!!!!
I am very angry
Have you checked the update history of Office 2013 to make sure that it didn't do any updating. Since the Click To Run version does it without any intervention on our part it could very well have done the Office updates on June 10 and they caused the crash.
It may not be the Windows 7 updates. I explained in an earlier post how to determine if your Office is auto-updating and how to check which update you are currently on, as well as how to Disable updates for Office until this is figured out. I was lucky enough
to get mine reinstalled and have it work and I went in to verify that I was on the original installed version and that no updates had taken place yet. They hadn't so I turned the Auto-Update feature off for Office, locking it in at the version it is now until
MS figures this thing out.
They have made it much harder on us to do the troubleshooting ourselves, but it is possible. Follow my istructions to see if it helps you get going again and then go in and turn off the updates and see if it helps. I think it has to do with the updates they
rolled out or Office on June 10th and not just the Windows 7 updates.
I know you say it is the second time since the Windows 7 auto update, but the June update for Office took place at almost the same exact time so it could be that one instead. They are not listed with the other updates. You have to follow my instructions
and you can locate your current Office version and what updates have been applied to it.
