Office 2013 missing after June 11 Microsoft auto upates

the option to control updates, even partially, in 365 is so new that I have not heard of any way of selecting a specific version to work with.

The only thing I can think of is to contact MS, or Digital River (MS's "official" 3rd party installation file download site) to see if they can give you an installation file for the appropriate update version.

They have them, but getting the right one may be a bit of a challenge.

What build of C2R do you have on that machine now?  If say you downloaded the May build of C2R it will already include SP1.

You can't apply  Service packs to Click to run, they are two totally different animals.  You are either MSI deployment - and thus will receive your updates via Microsoft update and service packs, - or you are click to run and you get your releases via "app-v" and go build to build.

You are one or the other - but not both.

Here is a question for someone who wants a challenge. It is on-topic because it is made necessary by this problem we are having. Here it is: SP1 came out for the MSI stand-alone install back in January I think it was. It was a SP that you could download and apply yourself. That same SP was made available for the C2R versions on February 23 and you couldn't download it by itself. It was applied automatically along with  all the updates that came down in February. Here is the question, or challenge if you would rather view it that way: Since we are keeping our updates turned off right now, how can we download the SP and get the benefits of its high value fixes and security updates and get it to install on our C2R versions? I have downloaded the SP for Office 2013 but it tells me after it unpacks the files and gets ready to install itself that I do not have any software that can make use of the SP. Then it shuts itself down. So, how can I force the SP to install on the C2R version on my machine? It is the same SP as the one for the MSI versions but just won't install on the C2R version. They are taking away more and more of our power over our own software that we pay for. But I am sure there is a way, I am just not seeing it. The C2R version expects it to be applied through auto updates and so this SP will not install itself. So if you can offer any help i would greatly appreciate it. I have found out on my own how to overcome a lot of the weak features of the C2R versions, like for instance I have found out how to install it without an internet connection. I have all the install files on a local drive and "stream" the install from my local computer. So that is one way to overcome the problem with having to have an internet connection and I have also figured out how to get a copy of the MSI stand-alone version and a product key that works so that I do not have to use the C2R version anymore if I ever have to reinstall again. So I have figured out how to get around most of the inconveniences of the conversion to C2R, but I have not found an answer to how I can manually apply SP1 for Office 2013 to a C2R installation. If you can help, please let me know. Thanks. In the meantime if I find the answer I will post it up for anyone who needs it in this time of need caused by the C2R versions and the June updates.

What fix?

This is why you always wait for confirmation. People jump the gun on everything or they may take something wrong such as somebody who reinstalled office announcing they got it fixed and someone else sees that and starts announcing that the problem has been fixed. But I have been watching news and tech feeds all day and using search engines and I can't find anything about an official "fix" for this problem yet. So I would take the "announcement" above with great trepidation and keep my office updates turned off for the time being. With a problem this big, when it gets fixed you are going to be hearing about it everywhere because everyone will want to be the first one to make the big announcement. The way it is looking we might as well get comfortable because it looks like it is going to be a long haul waiting for this fix.
