Office Home and Business 2013 is now blank under "file size" in Programs and Features following the June 11 Microsoft update.  How do I recover it?

!! Systemrecovery seems to be the solution for the moment !!

I followed your instructions to the letter. The Fixit tool didn't work for me - I kept receiving an error message when I tried to use it, so had to do the manual uninstall.

I have been unable to reinstall from my back up download of the product (I am using the HUP version) but get error message "We found a pre-release or Beta version of an Office product...and can't install because of it". I don't have any other versions and get this after I did the manual uninstall.

So I redownloaded it from Microsoft and now I  get error message saying it couldn't install and telling me to check internet connection and space on my hard drive. Neither of which are a problem.

In programs Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 is still appearing, but there is nothing in the Size column as it doesn't exist.

It has no repair option and nothing happens when I click change. It doesn't exist and doesn't seem to be able to be removed.

Like everyone else this only happened after downloading the latest updates (which I removed before attempting this fix).

Microsoft, we trust your updates and would expect you could have done some testing before releasing them. Clearly there are thousands of us with this issue who have already lost one day's productivity. Please let us know how to fix this, and when a safe update is available. I have disabled automatic updates until this is resolved.

    Thanks.

I get the same space and connection message, although the program is not listed in the "installed programs"  screen. So now I am unable to re-install it. I only hope uninstalling was the right thing to do. It would be nice if Microsoft at least acknowledged the problem and issued preliminary instructions (wait, uninstall or whatever).

60mins to support, who sounded like they wanted to go home/didn't want to be there. Haven't fixed the problem. Seemed impatient with me when I told them it still wasn't working.

Problem I started with: Why do I need to input my user info every time, and then Office doesn't work when I'm offline?

Problem I finished with: Office won't run at all

    System restore didn't work either.

The thing I can't understand is why they don't test these updates. They'd be able to avoid releasing crippling updates, which cost me and others money. I can't reply to important emails this morning, will Microsoft reimburse me for lost business?
