Erin, you are going to have to contact MS Support to resolve this problem.  The first person you talk to will almost certain NOT be able to help you. Keep asking to talk to a supervisor.

    Online chat support: **http://answerdesk.microsoftstore.com/AnswerTech******

I recently used online chat support myself. I found it had several advantages over phone support, even though you still contact the same outsourced, support personnel:

    • No ESL accent issues
    • Provides instant time stamped transcript
    • When you get transferred to the “right” person, they can review the history
    • If they don’t read history, you can copy / paste the past conversation to them, saving you having to repeat yourself
    • They are more likely to go off line to ask other people for help (good for you)
    • You don’t have to listen to “elevator muzak” when they are off line
    • You have 2 hands free to surf the web when they are not talking to you.

For some reason, I found that waiting for online chat responses intrinsically frustrating than listening to elevator muzak.

Make sure to copy the text from the chat window and save it before closing the chat window. It is handy to have a timestamped copy of the conversation, if only to publish it on the internet ... <evil grin>

Sorry to be part of the finger pointing merry-go-round. But there are no official published fixes from MS for your problem. We can provide generic answers. You have to pester MS for help or ask for your money back.

Many Microsoft products and product upgrades can be purchased via a retail store or online, then downloaded to your computer as an Electronic Software Download. In addition to buying your Microsoft product directly from Microsoft, you may have purchased it from another company. Please select the appropriate issue below to get assistance:

I need assistance with downloading electronic software that I purchased from an Online Retailer.

I am unable to find my product key (25 character alpha numeric product key) or my product key did not work.

I need assistance installing a downloaded product or I’ve already successfully installed the product and need technical support.

I need assistance with my PIN (27 character alpha numeric PIN) .

None of the issues above describe my issue or question.

Tried this as well.  Outlook still does not work.  Stuck on 'Loading Profile'.

Ok, you need to make sure that office is cleaned completely off of your computer. First of all follow these instructions to preserve all of your Outlook settings and email accounts:https://www.dropbox.com/s/m1gh11coz5luqk5/Instructions%20for%20Preserving%20as%20much%20of%20Outlook%202013%20as%20possible%20when%20reinstalling.docx . Then make sure you clean office from the computer completely by doing an uninstall. After that is done run this MS Fix to make sure you clean up any traces of Office left over: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xmu090n724ca1lb/O15CTRRemove.diagcab . Now after running this, you can delete the leftover folders that even the Fix tool did not get. For instance the ones that you backed up in the instructions above when you were preserving Outlook. Delete these folders and any others that are associated with Office. Then reboot and reinstall Office from scratch. This is how we have been fixing all of our computers and I have now done over 2 dozen. If you have any problems post back and let us know what the problem is and we will try to help.

If your Outlook is locking up looking for a profile, you may have to do some registry editing to get rid of references to any profiles that have been deleted. You can delete any Profiles by removing the registry key referred to in the instructions at the beginning of this message. If you were able to back up this registry key, then by merging it back into the registry and then trying to Open Outlook you might fix it. Just try everything we say here and report back.

    Caine0001

I have been down since June 11 as well with Office 13. Should I wait from

MS to fix it or do you feel it is better to fix it now?  Kent

There  is no timetable as of yet as to when it will be fixed by MS. So the best thing you can do is to get your Office up and running once again. So yes, fix it now. Then turn off Office updates to keep it from happening again. Fixing it is easy, usually. Just uninstall Office and if you have to clean up Office from your computer then use the Microsoft cleanup tool to get Office completely off the computer. Then reboot and install Office again.

Hi, I did everything you told me to do and now Microsoft Office is uninstalled.

But when I went to my account on the Microsoft Office page it didn't give me the option to 'Install Office'.

It instead told me that I've cancelled my subscription.

Now what do I do. I've only bought Microsoft Office 3 months ago and now it tells me I have to pay another $100 to get it again.

How do I fix this ? I'm a student and I need it to hand in all my assignments.

    -Erin

First of all, where did you purchase Office from? And if you bought it online, do you still have the email receipt? That will get them to provide you with the download link again. But you need to know where you purchased it. I bought mine through the HUP program and you cannot install those purchases again by means of you my account. So check that first and reply back. Where did you purchase it? Then check to see if you still have the receipt they sent to you in the email. If you cannot find the receipt and the place was reputable, you should be able to contact them and they will supply you with your receipt information. Let us know, then we can help you further.
