Office 2013 missing after June 11 Microsoft auto upates

Office Home and Business 2013 is now blank under "file size" in Programs and Features following the June 11 Microsoft update.  How do I recover it?

    This is totally impossible from Microsoft!!!!

    Do they really think that customers have nothing better to do that to install-uninstall-restart computers-reinstall their software all day?

    I finally have an answer that works on my Office 2013 Pro Plus (HUP) running on Windows 7 Pre 64-bit SP1, it involves downloading/running the Microsoft System Update Readiness Tool (for Win 7, Vista, Server in my case) from the Microsoft KB947821. It runs a Hotfix for Windows that takes some time to run, then it re-installed my Office 2013 without prompting (or possibly timing out on a request to fix Office, I was watching TV). I ran this when the MS Help suggested it while examining a failed Security Update, Control Panel -> Programs -> Programs and Features -> Installed Updates, to see if something was amiss that may be related to MS Office being inoperable after the June 2014 Security Updates.

    I had already tried, rebooting and trying to run MS Office in-between, the following without success:

    1. Quick Repair under Control Panel -> Programs -> Programs and Features -> Change - > Repair.
    2. Online Repair under Control Panel -> Programs -> Programs and Features -> Change - > Repair.
    3. Uninstall KB2965788 (red-herring someone suggested was the source of the problem).
    4. Restored my system to a point in time prior to the June 2014 Security Updates.
    5. Running Windows Update again, installing all of the non-Optional updates.

    Since it seems to be hit and miss depending on the Windows version and Office type this may or may not work.

    Using a Restore Point didn't work on my Win 7 Pro 64-bit SP1, Office 2013 Pro Plus. Worth a shot though.

    I too had my office fail to run on June 11th.  In order to correct that problem I reverted to the system restore point that was created from the windows update.  I then made sure to disable all windows updates. 

    I have since tried the link from office-watch.com (page 29 of this tread), to disable office from updating from inside of office and then ran the windows updates manually and I can say that I have now been able to use my click-to-run Office 2013 and have the latest June 10th windows updates. 

    My version of office is: Office 2013 Pro.  15.0.4623.1003  and was OEM from my laptop vendor.
