Office 2013 missing after June 11 Microsoft auto upates

Not true, I think. I installed most of the June Windows Updates on Wednesday evening 11 June. I'm not sure how long they'd been waiting for me to give the go-ahead, but probably a few hours.

Office 2013 did not update itself until 24 hours later, in the evening of 12 June. I've had no problems (touch wood) so far with the updated MSO 15.0.4623.1003 32-bit on W7 SP1 Pro x64.

I am trying to reinstall, but it will not work either..It says it is installed, but then comes up with "empty", when you click on Microsoft Office 2013 in start up window.

Have you tried the Microsoft FixIt tool that cleans Office from the computer? If not, run it, reboot, and then try to reinstall. That may very well work to let the system know that it is really gone and can be reinstalled. If it works and you get it reinstalled I would immediately go into an Office program and turn off Updates so that it doesn't crash again until MS gets this figured out and we can safely allow the updating again.

For German Users: After Starting Office 2013 the message "Das hat leider nicht geklappt" appears.

In my case reinstallation by the automatic repair procedure Office 2013 worked fine until rebooting the

system. Today I ran the fixit procedure as described before. At the moment Office works again.

I have to work with the machine and so I do not power off at the moment.

Not funny.

CAUTION - you can't always reinstall without OEM support if your computer came preloaded from the factory. Directions at www.office.com/myaccount stop installation and tells you (me) that you have to go through OEM support.  For me, that was Toshiba and I had to pay for support plan to have them remote in to my computer and do the re-install. 

WARNING - just because you fix it once, it might happen again.  Thankfully the rep gave me the address & process for the re-install, because when I started my laptop today, the system went throught the dreaded Applying Patches xxxxxx process (which I thought I undid and turned off yesterday when this happened the first time).  Sure enough, my Office 2013 is nuked again today and I've got to go through the whole process again today on the same computer.

For what it is worth my system appears to be corrected, thanks in part to Susan Bradly and the MS Support team.  I have downloaded and installed the dreaded June 10 or 11, 2014 updates while being monitored by MS and everything went through just fine.  I was given a diagnostic link for my computer which I ran and the file was sent to MS.  Since I had my system up and running by first, doing a restore, uninstalling Office 2013, and then doing a reinstall, and finally NOT downloading the updates my diagnostics really didn't show them much.  Since the diagnostics tool was only for my machine I can't post the link here.  MS will have to provide a link for your system.  One thing that was pointed out on my system was that I'm running Office 2010 and Office 2013 and this alone may have caused my issue.  I'll now uninstall Office 2010 to prevent any possible conflicts in the future.  MS Support was eager and willing to assist me in solving my issue with Office 2013 not starting.  What corrected the problem is still unknown to me but I do think it would be to everyone's best interest to open a trouble ticket with MS.  Each system environment is different and may require a separate solution.  I do hope this helps toward solving your issues but complaining or identifying your issue on the forum alone will not solve your particular problem.  Thanks again to Susan Bradly and Pratik Bhayani (support team INDIA) for their assistance.

For what it is worth, I had been running Office 2013 on the same computer with Office 2010 since last autumn without a hitch. Then 4 days ago I formatted my drive and installed Win 7 Pro. I only reinstalled Office 2013 (I did not put 2010 back on). 2 days later Office stops working and uninstalls itself. I am just saying that running them both on the same computer is not a problem. And obviously that did not cause my crash since 2010 was not even on the machine anymore.
