in word 2013 when I want to draw an arrow or a line it cant be straight in 180 degree in page and it is always a bit curve to up or down for example draw a rectangle and on its border line draw an arrow ( the arrow must be exactly on rectangle border line ) and you will see that the arrow is curve and is not on rectangle border.

This is easy to recreate, but can be solved by setting the height or width to zero in the ribbon.
This is no "untypical" at all. I had to reverse engineer much of hte kernel code in windows 3.1 and the atrocious mess that I found, the complete lack of evidence that most of their sold software has even been through beta testing, is something that I have observed for the last two decades. Windows 10 is the last insult to the intelligence.
It's not just the user interface, it's the whole design philosophy, and the total lack of any connection with what people actually do when they use it.
I usually use Delphi to design the software that comes with my products, and it gets tested to bitsfor months before it gets released. Word 2013 is one of the worst things I have ever seen in the market since I've been writing software.

Hi Suzanne, if you watch the video you will see that Drawing Tools tab has been highlighted at the top, but it certainly is not "displayed". Maybe that is only the case if you have Tabs and Commands set to show as standard. On most of devices, which have small screens, by default the Commands are hidden until you click on the Tab. I know that I could change the setting to show the Commands all the time, but if you are working on something like a Surface Pro you need as much document space as possible most of the time.
Actually, it took me a longtime to figure out the answers in this post because of the default setting of Commands being hidden. Most of the answers in this post are structured as if I could see the Drawing Tools ribbon without an additional click.
I just wanted to contribute an additional path to the solution that might be preferable for others, and its the way that I'll be doing it in future. Also, I can make micro adjustments to the line length from this dialogue box as well.
Thanks to all who have help with this topic. Just this morning, thanks to others, I have learned that it is only a problem (for some like me) with arrows and not with lines.

When you click on the line, the contextual Drawing Tools tab will be displayed. The size boxes are available there (far right end) without having to open the dialog.
