PowerPoint will not allow me to paste anything into a slide. I have tried text into a text box, shapes, entire slides. It allows me to copy or cut, but when I try to paste it is greyed out or does nothing when I use Command+V on my MacBook Pro. I am running Office 2011 Home & Student and copy and paste work fine in Word and Xcel. I have tried to reinstall the software and that didn.t help either... Any ideas?

Since I can not copy & paste from my browser (Safari), into Powerpoint, I paste into Notes first, then copy that and then it works to paste into ppt.
A solution for this problem for Powerpoint for Mac 2011 on Mac OS Sierra 10.12.4 seems to be after the cut and paste into the slide doesn't seem to show, it is apparently invisible . Don't delete just go to Edit > Paste special.... > click OK and the paste will show in the text box of the slide. This has to be done each time after you cut and paste into the slide. Clunky but works.
