Cannot install office 2013 Error "Microsoft office professional plus 2013 encountered an error during setup"

Thanks for your suggestions.  Here is an update:

In additional to all my previous steps, I went throught the two links you posted:

The first one:  Office 2013 removal tool, https://support.microsoft.com/de-de/kb/2822317

• says run Fix it, which I had done before. - Fix it says it doesn't find anything to fix.
• then Reset Internet Explorer settings, which I had not done before.  And it's interesting because I had not even realized IE was installed, as Windows 10 features Microsoft Edge.  So I reset the IE settings and rebooted.
• then Stop the Print Queue, which I had done before but did again now after the restart.

Under the second link, https://support.microsoft.com/de-de/kb/971179, I watched the video on manually removing office, although office has never been installed on this pc.

Following the video steps, there was no office service to stop or app to uninstall, There was nothing under Program Files, but there WAS an Office 10 folder under Common Files > Microsoft Shared, from the previous times I have attempted to run the installer.  So I deleted that.

There was also a MSOCache folder under C:, so I deleted that.

There were Normal.dotm files which I deleted.  

I and made one of the two registry edits.

Same bootstrapper error.  :(

Was there any step I missed?

I think I am to the point where I will reformat the pc, install windows 8, attemmpt to install office, and then upgrade to 10.  (or not).

Imho you did alter too many things up to now. Please run ALL Office Cleanup tools without restarting in between

starting with office 2003, office 2007, office 2010 and office 2013. This should really work and should be also everything that's blocking the bootstrapper. Altering standard settings of IE / Registry could also have a negative effect. Please keep in mind that MS do no expect altered settings when they code an application.

Thanks for all the replies.  My Plan B ultimately worked fine.  It was a newly imaged computer anyway.  Decided not to spend any more hours on this.  I re-imaged the PC with Windows 8, installed Office with no problem, and then ran the Windows 10 upgrade, and Office continued to work with no problem.

I got the problem when i want to install microsoft office 2013. The Problem is when i click the setup, setup is running well at the first time. But when the installation almost finish, appear notification "microsoft office professional plus 2013 encountered an error during setup" then i click close and appear notification again " microsoft setup bootstrapper has stopped working".  previously, i had installed microsoft office 2013 preview and i uninstalled please help me solve this problem.

Now i already installed office 2010, i want install office 2013,
