Google Drive now supported in Word for iPad?

So Word for iPad's latest update allows integration with Google Drive, but I can't get it to work.

I checked in 'Add a place' - I can select OneDrive, OneDrive for Business, Dropbox or Sharepoint, but no sign of (Google) Drive.

Under ". . . more" , and "Locations" there's a slide button to select Google Drive, but I can't see any effect.  Even with this switched on, Drive doesn't appear under any of the menus.

Is this a bug?

    Raju please take the time to read this thread from the beginning. Everybody that came here has got the same  issue and have  the Google drive App installed and functional...  and nobody has confirmed that it ever worked. Not a single person. 

    do you have an iPad ? did you get it to work ?

    The Drive app is installed, refreshed & working.

    I've also restarted the iPad, the Drive app and Word.

    On the "Locations" menu I can check the buttons for Drive & Dropbox. Dropbox then appears as an available location, but Drive doesn't.

    Actually you can find the option under Places>More>Under Browse>Location and you should be able to see the Google Drive icon. I can edit the files inside google drive and it saves properly. I’m using a paid 365 account but i dont know if it is the difference.

    Go into the Powerpoint app on ipad, on the side click “open”, then under the “other locations” subtitle click “... more”. The apple file system should pop up. You should see google drive under “Locations”. There seems to be an issue with downloading my files but, its there. **IOS 11- Ipad Pro

    In the colum which has + Add a Place, select more ...

    In the pop up select location

    Google drive if installed will show in the next window.

    bit convoluted but it is there
