Hi All

I have an Excel 2013 document that I've been using for over two months and have had no problems with editing or saving it. Today I edit it and than saved it and I received a strange looking error message "Be careful! Parts of your document may include personal information that can't be removed by the Document Inspector."

I have tried to find out any information on what it might be, by using Bing and Google without any success. It looks like I'm the only one who has received this error message. I hope it's not a virus!

I had the same problem, it's incredibly annoying and there's strangely little posted about it on the interwebs.  Anyway, here's how you fix it: Goto File in the upper left hand corner, then Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Privacy Options > then un-check the check box that says "Remove personal information from file properties on save", then hit OK.  Hope that helps.

    Thank you guys, very much appreciated.

    Why can't Microsoft post a more meaningful note rather than causing simple users like me great concern ?

    But then thais is probably a daft question as they appear not to employ many technical people who can relate and address issues in an understandable manner to simple users !

    Same issue here.  Just started happening to one of my documents.  I had added a macro and re-saved it as macro enabled and I started getting this warning.  Apparently ANY workbook that has a macro is considered a potential risk, and you will ALWAYS get this with macro enabled workbooks unless you remove the check.  Absolutely stupid.

    I had the same problem.

    As guys said, disabling is not a fix. I did not find fix on the internet but much better then disabling error message is copying data to the new workbook.

    I tried to repeat the same process,but second time i did not get the error message.

    Does someone know what can cause this error?
