Hi Naman,

If you receive this error:

Something went wrong. Sorry, we ran into a problem. Go online for additional help. Error Code 30088-4

Use this article to remove Office and then try installing it again.

I have opened the articcle and clicked on the "fix it" button. It leads to page "http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9815935" but nothing appears on that url.

I cn not deinstall it from the Control Panel. What can I do?

Here is what I discovered that solved my error problem.

I run a 64-bit system with Windows 7 and Office 2013.  While researching my problem, I discovered that a program I had on my system was causing a conflict as it required a 32-bit system.  The program in question is ABBYY Finereader.  Once I removed this from my system, MS Word and Excel 2013 began to operate again without any errors or problems.

It is not necessary to remove it but if you have that option great. Now if you need it you can install the latest version of ABBYY Finereader from http://finereader.abbyy.com/ and it would work without any conflicts. You can also disable the ABBYY Finereader add-in for office applications and it would be fine.
