So, I purchase MS Project and the next thing I know is I get this error message and my Office and Outlook are gone. So because I buy one more MS product and try to install it, I am now in some sort of do loop where I have to re-install everything so I can get back to where I was before I purchased MS Project.
So what are the real incompatabilities here. Your support articles are pretty generic and don't get actually identify what the problem is or the root cause. Furthermore, in the installation process, if you are going to disable existing applications, please give us a warning message before doing it and something that is a lot more specific than the one all the people on this thread are getting.

I am having the same problem. I have tried to install this product (Office Home & Student 2013) numerous times, and it will not install. Should I return this product as defective??
