Why should we have to remove Office to fix a Microsoft problem.  If you have created a problem with an upgrade, this is unacceptable customer service.

ABSOLUTELY!!!!!! Notice the timeline of this error. All in the last few days.

Nancy, Microsoft has already destroyed your Office so you have to uninstall it with their own Fixit software.

Use **this article** to remove Office and then try installing it again.

I copied this from one of the earlier responses and it worked for me. Make sure you follow all steps exactly.

It looks as if MS is employing people who were not good enough to work for Google, Facebook or Apple. They come cheaper. Service is not important if you are a monopolist.

I have not even seen an apology from them. I guarantee that their lawyers have ensured you never can hold them responsible for their mistakes. You have no idea how I hate Microsoft for making our lives so hard with sloppy software over the years. They are only good at raking in money.

If you follow the steps in the article you will be done in 30 minutes. Make sure you have the key for your original purchase of Office.

    Good luck

    Hans

    Hi Hans,

I'm glad this worked for you but when I tried it, it didn't fix my problem.
