I am getting the error, “Something went wrong. Sorry, we ran into a problem. Go online for additional help. 30088-4” when trying to install Office 2013. What should I do?

Hi Naman,

If you receive this error:

“Something went wrong. Sorry, we ran into a problem. Go online for additional help. Error Code 30088-4”

Use this article to remove Office and then try installing it again.

    This started for me two days. Tonight I did a live chat with support and was told my machine was full of errors and infections! Funny but OpenOffice works fine (and it is free).

    Now I am trying to re-install, no joy. MS have truly made a mess and refuse to help.
