I am getting the error, “Something went wrong. Sorry, we ran into a problem. Go online for additional help. 30088-4” when trying to install Office 2013. What should I do?

If you receive this error:
“Something went wrong. Sorry, we ran into a problem. Go online for additional help. Error Code 30088-4”
Use this article to remove Office and then try installing it again.

Microsoft, I have uninstalled Office like you told me to but now I cannot reinstall. Apparently Office is 'not associated with my account', which is completely untrue. I performed all account registrations and provided a product key for my original installation. I am completely unimpressed that you are trying to milk more cash out of me.
