Hi Naman,

If you receive this error:

Something went wrong. Sorry, we ran into a problem. Go online for additional help. Error Code 30088-4

Use this article to remove Office and then try installing it again.

I followed the steps to uninstall Microsoft office and upon re-installation I was required to enter a valid email that had the product license used.  I had already thrown away/lost the product key thinking that I would not need it within the future, which I was wrong, and was told to call Microsoft support.  They then told me to list the accounts that I had with Microsoft and I did and apparently none of them had any prior existence of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013.  I am going to contact the University at which I purchased the product at to see if they can handle this matter because Microsoft somehow messed up.  I know that the University is really stingy and only will allow one copy per student of any software product because it is much cheaper here then buying it retail or through Microsoft.com.

I used my laptop all day yesterday and this morning and wala can't open word... Got the error as everyone else but my code was 0-22. Tried to re-install professional plus and got the something went wrong message.  wth is going on?  Called hp and when I didn't have a paid plan I got transferred to the NON dept. and when  I wouldn't I purchase they politely declined to help me :((  Tisk tisk on hp

I am having the same problem.  i have a 365 account - won't open.  I have to get work done, so I purchased a download of the product, it won't install.  Windows 8, starting to really hate.

Any real solutions out there for this?
