I have the same problem, but my error message is in spanish.  I do not see any solutions, so where are people going to get this resolved.  If I look far enough in this thread, is there a solution?

I am getting the error, “Something went wrong. Sorry, we ran into a problem. Go online for additional help.  I have no idea if everything I was doing is gone or not.  I didn't need my master's degree..  How do you get the idiots at Microsoft to even answer you?  I have had other problems, and it is dam near impossible to contact anyone.  If you do connect with them, it takes months to come to a successful conclusion. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hello Sharence,

I know how difficult it is if you are unable to install Office on the computer.

Did you save the ‘fix it’ tool on the computer and then try to run it?

If no, you may save the ‘fix it’ tool on the computer from the following article and then try to run the tool which will remove all the installed components of Office 365/Office 2013 from the computer.

Once the uninstallation is completed you may sign in to www.office.com/myaccount using the subscribed/registered email address, download and install Office from my account page and verify the status.

If the fix it fails, lets  manually uninstall Office 2013/Office 365 by following the section ’**Manual steps to remove Microsoft Office 2013 MSI installations’**from the following article this will remove all the installed components of Office 2013/Office 365 from the computer.
