Hi Naman,

If you receive this error:

Something went wrong. Sorry, we ran into a problem. Go online for additional help. Error Code 30088-4

Use this article to remove Office and then try installing it again.

See the Article “Why can’t I start my Office 2013 application at:

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/support/why-cant-i-start-my-office-2013-application-HA104011864.aspx

If that does not help, then you might remove all traces of the Office installation by downloading the fixit from the following article:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501

saving it to your computer and then running it.

Then reinstall Office by logging into www.office.com/myaccountwith your registered email address and click Install Office.

I've tried all of that 10 times now and still all I get is "Something went wrong" no error number, nothing useful.

The uninstall "FixIt" doesn't fix anything but tells me I've got Click-To_Run installed, so why doesn't that appear in Control panel| Programs & Features?

Office2013 appears to me to be flaky and unreliable, as several of my colleagues have had major problems too. Please Make Office2010 available again - that just works!!!

I have the same problem, but my error message is in spanish.  I do not see any solutions, so where are people going to get this resolved.  If I look far enough in this thread, is there a solution?

I am getting the error, “Something went wrong. Sorry, we ran into a problem. Go online for additional help.  I have no idea if everything I was doing is gone or not.  I didn't need my master's degree..  How do you get the idiots at Microsoft to even answer you?  I have had other problems, and it is dam near impossible to contact anyone.  If you do connect with them, it takes months to come to a successful conclusion. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
