I am getting the error, “Something went wrong. Sorry, we ran into a problem. Go online for additional help. 30088-4” when trying to install Office 2013. What should I do?

If you receive this error:

Something went wrong. Sorry, we ran into a problem. Go online for additional help. Error Code 30088-4

Use this article to remove Office and then try installing it again.

    Right, why can't we buy the Software and own the CDs like we used to.  The software came with my new computer and was working fine until this UPGRADE messed it all up by making me uninstall it.   I need a fix and I need it now.  I have work to do and can't access my data base.  It's enough to make we switch to Linux/Ubuntu, etc.  Anything but Microsoft.

    I downloaded office onto my new comp. two days ago and it seemed to have completed but now cannot find it to be able to use it.  It tells me to down load the programme  but when I tried I got the error message "somethings went wrong" error code 30088-4. Please can you help.

    What is MS doing? Letting people find there way through Forums? I never had this before when Office was available through a CD.
