Office 365 - Where is picture manager?

What was MS thinking? ... They say they had a "better idea" with the metro applications they provided. Too bad no one agrees.

If you just want MODI or Picture Manager 2007or OneNote 2007, you can start the SharePoint installation process then select the **“Custom” install option.**This will allow you to deselect SharePoint and any other product you do not want wasting space on your machine.

Download SharePoint Designer 2007 

• Do a “Customize install” to select SharePoint / MODI (under Office Tools) / OneNote  / or select only “Picture Manger” if that is what you want.

Note: the free download of SharePoint Designer 2007 includes a few surprising extras:

NOTE: when one person ran that download it did not include OneNote. I redownloaded and ran it and did see it. We never did resolve what the cause was.

Windows Live Picture Photo gallery sucks too. We want Microsoft Office Picture manager back!!! Classic case of it wasn't broke but Microsoft had to fix it anyway.

The answer how to get it back, for free, has been posted twice in this question.

As well, Sandi and all other repliers , "Answers" is no longer the place to make this type of complaint. MS has created a bunch of subsites on the "UserVoice" forum. Those sites are explicitly intended for users to post feature suggestions and complaints about office.  MS managers really do monitor these forums. I have even seen action on a couple of suggestions.

I did not find an existing suggestion on the Office sub site so I created one. Please add your comments about the negative impact of not having Picture manager.  Also please "vote" for the suggestion. The more people who vote, and comment, for a suggestion the more likely MS is to act on it. Just don't hold your breath waiting for any change ... <grin>

Go to UserVoice, either through specific links I’ve provided or creat your own suggestions there., Then please do copy these comments you've made here and paste them into comments in UserVoice. That is where MS is looking specifically for this type of user feedback to bring them back to reality from what-ever lala-land they are working in when they make these "improvements".  Comments (and votes) like these in UserVoice helped to convince MS to roll back the "phat QAT" buttons in 2016

I am disappointed that Microsoft decided that Photo manager was not worth keeping.  The options you pointed out do not work as well, nowhere near as well!  I am really disappointed in office 365. I wish we had stayed with what we had.  I often think Microsoft is changing things just to change things not to improve them but to appear to be doing something.  It is frustrating, and not helpful when you cannot accomplish what you want to do.

I liked the bars you could move to change contrast and brightness sometimes that little change would make a lousy picture usable.

And while I am complaining, I really miss clip art.
