Can .pst file be located in Onedrive?

I have read some other posts and I am thoroughly confused.  Here is my setup, and what I would like to do:

I have a subscription to Office 365.  My main email account is a Gmail account, and it´s a POP account.  I also use  Calendar, Notes, and Tasks on my Outlook 365 setup on my main desktop computer.  I also have a Laptop that I only use when I am on travel.  Therefore, I never use the Desktop and Laptop simultaneously; I use either one or the other.

Until now, each time I go on travel, I need to manually copy my C:\Username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook[emailaddress].pst file from my Desktop to my Laptop, and then copy it back to my Desktop after the end of my trip.  This is awkward and very inconvenient, to say the least.

Could I move the storage location of the .pst file to Onedrive, so that both Outlook 365 installations in both the Desktop and the Laptop are pointing to the same .pst file and I wouldn´t have to do all the manual copying anymore?

If I can do that, what steps would I have to do to to change the storage location of the .pst file so that I don´t mess up anything?

Alternatively, if storing the .pst file in Onedrive was not supported or recommended, is there a way to automatically keep two installations of Office365 as I described, in synch?

    exchange comes with Essentials (web office) and Premium (real office);

    365 business (real office) and Outlook

    I work with Office2010 in a Win10 environment simultaneously using a desktop, laptop, and Android phone. My solution for several years has been to use IMAP for syncing email across all devices and using gSyncit to sync Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, and Notes across all devices. If you use Toodledo, Evernote, Informant, Simplenote, Nozbe, or Wunderlist, gSyncit will sync those as well.

    gSyncit is simply an Add-On to Outlook that will perform a 2-way sync between Outlook and Google. After installing gSyncit on your desktop and laptop, they'll both sync with Google. Because your Android phone/tablet are designed to sync with Google, they require no further configuration. 

    Also, because all of your Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, and Notes are now STORED on Google servers, you can, if need be, access the data using Chrome instead of Outlook. As an added bonus, all of your Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, and Notes are backed up in case of theft, HDD failure, or putting a new PC or Android device into service.

    My .pst still resides on my C drive, but I'm fully synced without using brute force. gSyncit is available from Fieldston Software.

    My impression is that much, if not all, of this discussion is now superseded by the migration of Outlook.com mailboxes to the Office 365 Exchange Online mail servers. My Hotmail account has been migrated and syncs through Exchange Mail (as opposed to Exchange ActiveSync). Everything syncs across all devices. It's excellent.
