Word for iPad Save As PDF

As far as I can tell, there is no way to save a word document (accessed via onedrive) as a PDF from my iPad. I have looked into third party programs to convert onedrive word documents to PDFs, but they mess up our header.

It is important for us to be able to work on word documents on the go, and email out a pdf of the document once complete. When will we be able to save as a PDF?

Thanks, everything else is great so far!

Hello and thanks for the feedback. Glad to hear everything else is working out well for you!

You're correct that Word for iPad doesn't currently have the ability to save as PDF. Thanks for the feedback on this and the explanation about how it impacts your workflow. I'll take this back to the team for consideration for a future release.

What I meant about DropBox settings was simply checking to see if you need to login again. Sometimes it happens where you can't send to DropBox because you need to login on the device again, which is unique to each device, not the account.

Have you tried using another app to send to DropBox to eliminate DropBox as the source of the problem? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling DropBox?

I'm at a loss. It works fine for me so I don't know what else to say. You have tried everything that I would have tried. Weird.

there are no settings in the DropBox app to change that relate in any way to word or 3rd party apps, not that I know of anyway.

I have not changed any account settings - the functionality still works on the phone.

It was working on Tuesday, not on Thursday.

I've removed word and reinstalled it.

    Logged in and out.

    Turned on and off.

BTW - it is the same for all MS Office apps!

The DropBox icon is there just like it is on the iPhone, but when you click:

    Send Attachment>PDF>Send a Copy>Save to Dropbox

it does nothing - it's really weird. the button physically depresses but no action results...

On the phone, everything is normal...

    Never mind!

I am able to Save Attachment as PDF to Dropbox on both iPhone and iPad. I think if the DropBox icon shows, the functionality should be there. Perhaps you should check your DropBox app and account settings (sometimes you have to re-log in). Maybe restart the iPad too. It should work.
