Did you register for Office 365 suite using the product key for the first time?

Are you installing Office 365 for the first time?

If not, a Product Key is only needed to set up your Microsoft account for the first time. Once you’ve set up a Microsoft account, you can install or reinstall Office at any time by visiting office.com/myaccount and signing in with your Microsoft account.

My parents bought me a laptop for my birthday from Walmart. It came with a Microsoft Office 365 Personal 1-year subscription but they misplaced the receipt that had the product key. How do I get the product key?

Ever drop money on the steet?  it is gone.  Basically that is the position you are in now.

You could try going back to Walmart. In my experience they have a surprisingly strong and liberal "customer care" service policy. It costs you nothing to give them a try, they may give you another key ...
