Use of own domain name with Office 365 Home/Premium

I have a Gmail account, but I want to have an email adfree and not to be concerned about targeted with ads. I love Google, I really do, but I am thinking about paying the extra $4 to get exchange for me.

a very interesting option but does anyone know any further information about exchange one plan? Does it support multiple domains?

I don't know about this Exchange option (from some third party) in conjunction with O365.  I'd expect Exhange option from reseller would support custom domain....the issue is authentication and linking to O365 Home which points to Outlook email.   I think I would end up in the same situation but instead of pop forwarding from Google, I'd be Pop forwarding from Exchange.

Why is there no proper response from Microsoft on this one?

As has already been said, there are loads of people with their own family domain names. So, why has this feature been removed from Office 365 for Home Users? And why don't Microsoft make this clear in any of the advertising that 'Home' means 'Cut Down Version'?

As I understand it, Home users will have to give up their personal domain names & change all their email addresses to fully use the 'Office 365 (Cut down for Home)' features... Something that is a big barrier to subscribing to Office 365 for many of us.

This is crazy that they do not support this. 

Currently I use Google Apps but would like to go fully Microsoft... I tried changing to Office 365 small business so I could use my own domain but it is way to business focused with its features and with Lync in place of Skype (I know Lync works with Skype but it is garbage as a casual home user).

Microsoft Home really does need to support this.. There online services are what tie there entire ecosystem together.. Windows 8.1 needs a Microsoft Account, Windows Phone 8.1 also needs a Microsoft account, and using office with a Microsoft account makes it more functional.. (Then if you use it Xbox needs one to work...)

It seems stupid to need a Microsoft account to use all of this, But then have to use a separate account hosted via a 3rd party (my case Google Apps for Work) to host our emails...

Could Microsoft's team please get in touch with us on this thread about this.. I

I use Outlook 2010 to manage my Google-account which has my own domain name. I expect this is also possible with Office 365. So why would you pop-forward to an Outlook.com-account?
