Use of own domain name with Office 365 Home/Premium

I know exactly how you feel.

Microsoft really do need to make a domain solution for home users. I want to be able to use my domain email and use my domain as my microsoft account... This cant be to much to ask can it ?

Currently i have Google Apps For Work and i love how everything is one login, Chromebooks and all. Only problem is i want to use Microsofts services....

Come on Microsoft, You did a great product launch earlier. Now make it all come together with a paid account / domain solution.

Agree with this entire thread - I currently have a hosted Exchange plan with a custom domain and want to move everything to O365.

Not having the option to add a custom domain is essentially what is stopping me from hitting the 'Complete Purchase' button...

There is a complaint about features lacking in Office 365 Home/Personal. It doesn't help much when you write description how it's done in O365 Business, when people are complaining about those features are missing in O365 home/personal.

Microsoft tell you to upgrade to O365 to use your domain with their services, but they fail to tell you that you need O365 business.

I've been following this discussion for some time now and I also posted a while back. Several people have proposed 'solutions' to this missing feature. Just want to highlight that these are not really solutions. Yes, we know we can setup email to work with another provider but this is not the point - unless you don't care about a having a family domain, the whole proposition around an integrated suite/hub for family collaboration and sharing falls apart as you have to rely on workarounds and there is an unnecessary overhead in managing it all. As just an office package this product will work for many people but as a multi device family platform it's crippled.
