Use of own domain name with Office 365 Home/Premium

I cannot seem to find out whether I can add my own private domain, i.e. not a business user, but I own a personalised domain, with Office 365 Home Premium.

In other words, I would like to use ******@mydomain.com instead of ******@outlook.com.

I know you can do this with Office 365 for Business, but need to know whether this can be done with Home Premium.

    To have what you seek/require if you are not prepared to use outlook.com would require that you purchased a Business version of 365 which supports full exchange (Obviously paying for each user)

    Or you purchase separately an Exchange host from a third party which can be used in the 365 Home version

    1. Using POP or IMAP and forwarding from Google works.
    2. Purchasing some third party hosted Exchange, plus Office365 could work.
    3. Purchasing Office365 Business will work too.

    The question here was why, why, why not provide such a simple functionality to add your own domain to Office365 Home (paying) subscribers - after all we do have a license for 5 users!  It is there in the Business editions, so functionality is not an issue for Microsoft.

    I guess it s just a marketing (i.e. money) issue for Microsoft :(

    I would guess that for the vast majority of home users (and by that I mean non-commercial), they don't have a domain name. I think that your particular set up is not common.

    Most home users are content using outlook.com or gmail, or btinternet or something like that.

    The Home use subscription is aimed at personal none business users. Having a Domain is more common in business use

    True, but there are MANY home users who own a family domain because it costs peanuts nowadays to own a domain; hence the request to MS :)
