Use of own domain name with Office 365 Home/Premium

To be honest i did call Godaddy and explane wath i wont to do to get the outlook solution running. The support hooked me up with a new account and created this DNS off site zone. They explicit told me this was free with 0 costs. I can find any message of stopping this service in my go daddy portal.

Hey, thanks for the tip with the off-site DNS however I did notice that it doesn't seem to be free. When creating the zone, I got a mail with the nameservers and on the bottom there is:

"Please note that since you are not a Premium DNS customer, this off-site zone will be deleted in 30 days."

Are you really sure that it costs 0?

Having additional aliases (not only 1 address per Office Account) is a precondition for proper use for me as well, yes. But:

This is a totally seperate issue. This can be done of course. You just forward all other aliases from other domains into the respective box here @MS. Or you could forward email coming in into the office-box outwards somewhere else.

The limit just is as far as one can see today that you only have 1 address per office license, so the size of your setup is pretty limited.

no. It isn't. A domain have to only be parked at / delegated to GoDaddy DNS servers. It means you may buy/ have got one from another registrar and the only things have be set up are 

1. create new GoDaddy user account or have got one
2. Create new DNS zone in GoDaddy for your domain
3. migrate DNS records from legacy service to GoDaddy
4. in your registrar service change name servers (NS) (delegate) of your domain from legacy registrar NS servers to GoDaddy ones.

It's good to finally see Microsoft doing something, but for me it's not yet useable without aliases. Also I currently have aliases for multiple domains going to the same mailbox.

1. Personal email address cannot be the same as existing alias of Microsoft account. If you want it to be the same, first remove the alias of your account. It will be re-added again while setting up your personal email address. You don't have wait for it such a long time as you mentioned. I did it just after removing my alias.
2. Regarding other familly members
   1. personal email address have to be set up from their accounts' contexts. The same way as for main users. The only difference is you don't have to touch GoDaddy setting in that case.
   2. for my second user I faced an issue while trying to add a personal email. I was notified that configuration of personal email was successful but the email wasn't added...not sure why. I make another few attempts one after another with no success. I had left configuring it for some time and next day I wanted to try again. But there was no need to do anything more. I just found that personal email has been already configured. So it seems I had to wait some time. Not sure how long it  was necessary and whether it was some bug of feature :).  But just be patient and do not make a rollback. If you may wait just do so. Be worried if it isn't configured well after one day at least. All in all that's why it's a beta stage.
   3. for my third user I'm not able to configure personal email at all. There's no such option. It seems that the account hasn't been counted yet in the rollout. But it's not critical for me in that case. Hence so far I've got two of three account configured with personal email addresses and I can stay with that so far.

It seems that you just have to wait or do a rollback. It depends on your needs and how critical for you is missing personal email of other familly members. In my case I may just wait and give you some feedback.
