I cannot seem to find out whether I can add my own private domain, i.e. not a business user, but I own a personalised domain, with Office 365 Home Premium.
In other words, I would like to use ******@mydomain.com instead of ******@outlook.com.
I know you can do this with Office 365 for Business, but need to know whether this can be done with Home Premium.

Not sure I understood the Nov 27 update as well - so here comes a variant of the matter...
So I can use outlook.com just for my lundnn.com email accounts but keep the lundnn.com domain name renewed with my current supplier (not godaddy or any big one).
I already host my emails with a supplier and would want to move each email account over in its entirety to Microsoft (using my own domain as the email address).
If yes - where do I start - with outlook.com?
PS: I have home premium (for the software and ondedrive) but that seems to be irrelevant here.

I dont think you understand.
Microsoft lets you use your own domain in outlook.com (not refering to office365 here)
In the settings of outlook it gives you the option of using a @whatever.com address. And its cheap and effective.

I'm on with tech support after escalating. No, you can't come in with your own email address/domain. He referred me to premium, which I don't believe exists. In the end, I'd have to pay for the email provider OR use Office 365 for business. There was no way to point the DNS records to their name server!!!!!!!!!!!
Microsoft, you SUCK for not telling us this up front. Now I have to get charges reversed and forget about office 365.
The whole point of paying for your own domain is to not get stuck with a Comcast or AOL based email, which is to say you are held hostage.
Well, after four and a half years of watching this thread and hoping for a solution, I've gone a different way :( I was a previous user of Windows Live Domains and this week decided to abandon that in favour of a simpler, but less elegant, forwarding solution. So I created an @outlook.com alias in each of my personal domain Microsoft accounts and used the free email forwarding facility of my domain host to forward all email bound for each of my @personaldomain addresses to an appropriate @outlook.com alias. My @personaldomain alias is still the primary address for the Microsoft account, so outbound mail works fine too. Got it working for my whole family... Full disclosure, I do have the option to use GoDaddy hosted domains and integrate it nicely with Office 365 Home, but after looking at the costs involved have decided to keep my domain with my current host (TsoHost) who let me forward emails for individual addresses without charging for an extra hosting package or 'premium DNS'.
It's not how I wanted it set up, but... job done.
