Change Product Key Office 2013 Home and Business

This is the only solution that has worked for me.  One thing to note is you may receive an error if you don't launch one of the Office apps as an administrator by right clicking the shortcut and choosing RunAs Administrator.

Just my 2 cents worth and to help clarify:

I've read through this entire thread and found a lot of useful info that helped me get through the process of installing multiple copies of MS Home & Business 2013 on multiple new PC's that I have "Cloned" from an image of a new install.  (MS doesn't understand this concept).

First, I really dislike Microsoft and wish everyone, the entire world, would simply stop using MS Office and immediately switch to using Open Office or Anything Else,  MS Word, Excel, etc.  Hasn't really added much to their functionality that 90% of the world uses regularly anyways since the MSO97.

First the PKC that you received by purchasing a copy of MSO Home & Business 2013 is NOT considered a REAL Product Key by MS.  Its kind of a "Pin Code" to get your RealProductKey from MS. (Thanks MS...)

You HAVE to have an online account with MS to register the PKC's and get the RealProductKey.

Go here to create an MS Account for your Business or Customer:  www.office.com/myaccount

NOTE:  Either use a REAL GENERIC email account or a forwarded email account. Do NOT use your email account or a person's email from the Business you're helping.  At the very least create a generic outlook.com email account  for the Business.  I prefer to use a forwarded account that way you can have it forwarded to whomever if the employee leaves or dies.  ie: ******@yourdomainname.com

Create your account and use a generic name ie: Business Manager or MSO Manager, I also used the Business date of birth or use a generic DOB that is at least over 20 years old.  ie: 1/1/1980 (MS's DOB).  You can't leave the Gender blank either you have to select one or  "Not Specified".  Make sure you put all of this info in a SS (spreadsheet).  Keep the original PKC, the RealProductKey from MS and the PC SSN that you're installing it on and the email account that you used to register the RealProductKey.

The first time you create an account, you will "register" one of your PKC's. You do not need to do the automatic install if you don't want to.  However when it shows your MSO H&B 2013 Get Started page there is an option under the Account Option heading "Install from disc"  Click it.  If you want a FULL downloaded ISO of an MSO H&B 2013 install, click "I want to burn a disc".  From there you can see your REAL Product Key that MS assigned you when you entered your PKC.  This RealProductKey is the most important piece of info you need.  You need to keep this in your SS along with the PKC and at least the SSN of the PC that you intend to install it on. 

So now you can either continue to download the full install and burn it to a DVD and install it from the DVD ( a better option) or you can go back and run the Install from the website.  I choose to create a DVD then saved it to my server's setup's folder that I use to instal all PC software from.

After installing MSO H&B 2013 on your 1st PC and it activates with the 1st PKC and RealProductKey from MS, you'll probably then make an image of that PC and duplicate it to other PC's, right?  (remember MS doesn't understand this concept)

Here's where the real fun began with MS.  For all other PC's after you burn the PC image to another PC, you have to register your other PKC's with MS to get the RealProductKey. To do this goto: https://officesetup.getmicrosoftkey.com/

Enter your PKC (you don't need to enter the dashes nor worry about case) and click the Get Started Button.

If you're already signed in you wont have to sign-in to your MS account (Or you can do this for the 1st PKC and create your account here.) Otherwise sign in to your appropriate MS account.

Select your Country and Language and click Continue. This will now take you to your My Account page and display all the MSO Products that you have. Where's the RealProductKey from MS?  Well now you have to click the "Install from disc" link and then the "I want to burn a disc" link then the "View Your Product Key" button to see the "RealProductKey" from MS.  This is why it's important that you keep an accurate list of these RealProductKeys.  You may have to go through each one listed to find your new RealProductKey from MS. 

So now AFTER you have ghosted or cloned your PC you have to unregister the installed ProductKey from your currently installed but now not activated MSO2013 install.  To do this there is a nice little command that you can run that gives you all kinds of info about the MSO install.  It is this:

From a command prompt (if you don't know how to get to a command prompt, I don't feel sorry for you):

For 32 bit Windows or 64 bit Windows w/ 64bit MSO 2013 installed

cscript "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15\OSPP.VBS" /<options>

For 64 bit Windows (assuming you are using 32 bit Office):

cscript "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\OSPP.VBS" /<options>

If you run this with no /<options>, you'll get a nice list of all the available options you can run with this command.

Run this command to see the installed PKC

cscript "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\OSPP.VBS" /dstatus

This will display the LAST5 of the installed RealProductKey

Now run this to remove the RealProductKey from your MSO H&B 2013 install

cscript "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\OSPP.VBS" /unpkey:LAST5

You should get a message that the Product Key was uninstalled.

To Install a new RealProductKey run this command.

cscript "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\OSPP.VBS" /inpkey:RealProductKey

Remember that the "RealProductKey" is not the PKC that you got when you bought the MSO H&B 2013 product, its the Real Product Key that MS assigns to you in your My Account.  You should get a message that the Product Key was installed successfully

Now that this new real product key is installed. You can start MS Word on your newly imaged/cloned pc (remember MS doesn't understand this concept, shhhh keep it a secret) and activate the new RealProductKey.  MS word or Excel should automatically display the Activation wizard, if not goto File and then Account and you'll see its not activated so you need to click the Activate link.

NOTES:  I believe that you can only have up to 10 products registered under one MS account, so you may have to have multiple MS Accounts fro each customer/business, again keep them consistent and either use a real email account or a forwarded account.  ie: MSO1, MSO2,  MSO3 etc.  And Lastly, Keep this info in your document SS. 

If you have any questions, reread this entire thread, you can figure it out like I did.  Its not that difficult, unless your Microsoft.  !!!#P@$!!!

Office 2013 does not offer the "Enter a Product Key" choice. It offers "quick repair" or "Online repair", but as I now see others have reported, choosing online repair does then give the option.

The command line option is the quickest and easiest.
