I need to change the product key on a new installation of Office 2013 Home and Business. What is the procedure?

    • Click on the button to open the Start Menu. Now, click on the Control Paneland then click on Programs (Uninstall a program), and finally click on Program and Features.

    (Windows XP users: Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.)

    • From the list of installed programs, find Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 (or your installed version of Office 2010 or Office 2013) or Microsoft Office Visio Professional 2010 (or your installed version of Visio 2010), which ever’s key you want to change, select it and then click on Change.
    • From the newly opened dialog box, select the Enter a Product Key option, and then click Continue.
    • Type your new product key and check the option that says Attempt to automatically activate my product online to automatically activate your Office 2013 or Office 2010 suite. Now click on Continue and then on Install Now.

    The versions of Office 2013 I have used at work and at home didn't provide the option to Enter a Product Key after clicking on Change.  The versions I have at work didn't even provide a Change button (installed on Win 7 Pro).  They simply had the option to remove.  I'd attach a picture, but the only available options are Quick Repair and Online Repair for my 2013 Professional after clicking on Change (installed on Win 8 Pro).  The commands I listed above worked for me, though. 

    I have the same problem. I'm on windows 8.1 pro 64bit and office 2013 pro 32bit. When i use the command line should i type all the numbers of product key wothout spaces and "-"?

    Reija, I feel your pain... 

    Here is how to actually fix the issue, if you haven't already...

    Open up a Command Prompt (Start>CMD>Enter)

    Comfirmed to work!

    CMD with admin rights though...

    cd "\Program Files (x86)"

    cd "Microsoft Office"

    cd Office15

    cscript OSPP.VBS /dstatus

    (see key)

    cscript ospp.vbs /unpkey:(see key)

    Next start of winword is asks for the account.

    If Microsoft would only stop their "creative harrasment" of paying customers... AND show which key I am choosing from the @outlook.com account.

    When I run this I get "product SKU not found error".

    Please help.

    I have the same issue with trying to activate Microsoft Office 2013.  I have three keys and am not sure what the key on this particular machine is. 

    When I run script to find last 5 digits they don't match any of the keys I have.

    When I run the script you suggest to change the key....I get the product Sku not found error!

    I am at my wits end.
