Do you know the exact error you’re getting?

Depending on the error or the problem, there are different steps you can take and there are Microsoft articles that can help. For example:

If you get an error that contains “integratedoffice.exe”, look at this article: Fix integratedoffice.exe install errors in Office 2013 or Office 365.

If the installation is hanging at different percentages, look at this article: Microsoft Office 2013 or Office 365 hangs during setup.

If the download is very slow, look at this article: Downloading Office 2013 is slow.

There’s also an article that provides general troubleshooting steps for Office setup: General troubleshooting for installing Office 2013 and Office 365 .

You can also go to this page on Microsoft Support to find more Office 2013 install articles. Or, this page for Office 365 Home Premium articles.

If you’d rather contact support, look at this page for Office 2013 support options, and this page for Office 365 Home Premium support options.

I've literally wasted an entire work day trying every single suggested option I could find on the internet, including (but not limited to) the following:

    • Re-installing Windows 7
    • Performing a Clean Boot and disabling most processes/services (including Print spooler)
    • Uninstalling previous versions (even though there shouldn't have been any) using FixIt tools
    • Deleting Office directories
    • Editing the registry

I need this software for work (new laptop) and I'm dead in the water. It's amazing to me that so many people are having this issue, yet MS responds with the same feedback over and over. There has to be something else... it's unbelievable.

I took the product back to the store where I bought it, only to be told that I must get a refund directly from Microsoft.  (It's in the fine print, don't you know).  I called Microsoft, whose representative kept me on the phone for half an hour before telling me that they couldn't give me a refund but could fix my PC for the discountedprice of $150.  When I complained, the representative lowered the price to $70 but only if she could convince her manager to approve it.

You win, Microsoft.  You keep the $110 I wasted on this program, and I'll keep the hundreds of dollars I would have spent on Office 365.  We both agree to ignore the hundreds of dollars in business I lost by trying to get this rectified.
