Do you know the exact error you’re getting?

Depending on the error or the problem, there are different steps you can take and there are Microsoft articles that can help. For example:

If you get an error that contains “integratedoffice.exe”, look at this article: Fix integratedoffice.exe install errors in Office 2013 or Office 365.

If the installation is hanging at different percentages, look at this article: Microsoft Office 2013 or Office 365 hangs during setup.

If the download is very slow, look at this article: Downloading Office 2013 is slow.

There’s also an article that provides general troubleshooting steps for Office setup: General troubleshooting for installing Office 2013 and Office 365 .

You can also go to this page on Microsoft Support to find more Office 2013 install articles. Or, this page for Office 365 Home Premium articles.

If you’d rather contact support, look at this page for Office 2013 support options, and this page for Office 365 Home Premium support options.

I had the same error message installing Office 2013 on and HP with Win8. 2.5 hours later, I found that the following in sequence worked for my case:

    1.  Troubleshoot IE 10 - disable extraneous add-ons
    2. Reset IE10

    3. Disable Antivirus Internet (I'm using Norton)

    1. Repair the Office exe file (thru Control Panel/Add - Remove Software), as described in detail in Mr. Kahn's response under "General troubleshooting for installing Office 2013".
    2. Try running install again

    Good Luck All!

Still no answer...guess this will turn into a legal issue if I do not get refunded and my cc is removed.

I am far from a newbie in installing programs and do not need step by step run around directions via email or forum.

I have also called your supposedly CS number and it is bogas.

So much for customer support on this one.

OBVIOUSLY I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE! DOES MICROSOFT EVEN READ THESE COMPLAINTS OR IS IT JUST A SOUNDING BOARD? THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

This is wasting my time with these forums and emails, time I do NOT have to waste!

I am in school studying Nursing and Advocacy, one does not have time for these petty emails and discussions.

You pay for a download or upgrade you should be able to install it with no problems.

IF there are EXPECTED errors that MIGHT happen MICROSOFT should include these issues BEFORE purchasing a product.

Also, the message's that "your subscription" is 'not active' before one decides to make the purchase ON THE BASIS OF LOSING WORD is misleading and has one led to believe that without purchasing your download you will not have Word. Those are intimidating false statements.

Again, if I do not get contacted regarding this, and my refunded with my CC removed I will take legal matters to the court.

This is a scam and I am not accepting anything else than what I have now requested.
