Do you know the exact error you’re getting?

Depending on the error or the problem, there are different steps you can take and there are Microsoft articles that can help. For example:

If you get an error that contains “integratedoffice.exe”, look at this article: Fix integratedoffice.exe install errors in Office 2013 or Office 365.

If the installation is hanging at different percentages, look at this article: Microsoft Office 2013 or Office 365 hangs during setup.

If the download is very slow, look at this article: Downloading Office 2013 is slow.

There’s also an article that provides general troubleshooting steps for Office setup: General troubleshooting for installing Office 2013 and Office 365 .

You can also go to this page on Microsoft Support to find more Office 2013 install articles. Or, this page for Office 365 Home Premium articles.

If you’d rather contact support, look at this page for Office 2013 support options, and this page for Office 365 Home Premium support options.

    My error message reads:

"Something Went Wrong!  Your product is busy with another task.  Wait for the this task to complete and try again".  (??????)

I am so confused.  Does it make a difference that I made the purchase at work?

This may help only a few, but after no success with the more technical solutions in this thread I refreshed my new computer back to the original Windows 8. This preceded the one update I received and allowed me to install office. Others may debate the theory but clearly for me the update damaged my capability to run Office.
