Problems installing Office 2013 and Office 365

I got my disc burnt but now cannot get it to accept the disc .... help please, I am desperate.

How about when I have tried downloading onto a disc... get as far as inputting the code you have given me, watched the little video telling me how wonderful the product is.. .but then you cannot recognise that I actually have a web connection... because you tell me I have to be connected to the net to complete the download.. then offer me the option of clicking a link to get help. You mean the link that needs web access to allow me to use it?? That I already have??? It is driving me nuts!!!!

Please do help me, this is causing me soooo much grief and actually costing me money now.

In addition to all the cleaning and uninstalling tips found here, you might want to give the following a try which should work for all Office 2013 users:

Go to your account and sign in at https://office.microsoft.com/en-us/MyAccount.aspx

Under the Account Options heading towards the bottom end of the page there is an "Install from a disc" link. Then select the "I want to burn a disc" option. You'll have to download a 2 GB file which may take quite a while, especially with a slow connection (dial-up need not apply). Once you have the file downloaded, you can either burn a disc or extract the .iso image to a folder using an archive program (e.g. WinRar, 7zip, Winzip). If you burn a disc, just run the setup program and it will ask you to sign on to your account where your product key should already be on file. If you extracted the .iso image, navigate to the subfolder created and double-click setup.exe to begin the installation.

Note: I could not connect to the Microsoft server used for downloading the disc image last week, but was successful when attempted this morning. I believe this server issue could be related to the other installation problems we've seen here. In other words, the typical installer downloaded after purchasing Office most likely goes out to the same server to retrieve the necessary files. When that server is down, we could possibly get the errors we're seeing. Since they are not very descriptive, it is difficult to know for sure.
