I’m having problems installing Office, how do I fix this?

Do you know the exact error you’re getting?

Depending on the error or the problem, there are different steps you can take and there are Microsoft articles that can help. For example:

If you get an error that contains “integratedoffice.exe”, look at this article: Fix integratedoffice.exe install errors in Office 2013 or Office 365.

If the installation is hanging at different percentages, look at this article: Microsoft Office 2013 or Office 365 hangs during setup.

If the download is very slow, look at this article: Downloading Office 2013 is slow.

    Hi to all,

    Although i do not know the exact cause of this issue, i know a resolution. This applies for both Office 2013 or 365.

    As far as i know, the main cause of this issue is a previously installed Office 2013 (trial version from my experience).

    So, down below you have three steps you can follow:

    1. Check and remove in Control Panel (Programs and Features) any detected Office 2013 installations.

    How to Access Programs and Features to uninstall a program:

    Most of you won't find anything here, so please do check the next two steps (2 and 3).

    2. Removing two registry entries.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0

    How to access the registry:

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc758067(v=ws.10).aspx

    Just delete the 15.0 subvalue, then try to install Office again.

    Ok, after following this step, some of you will be able to successfully install Office, but others will receive a different error. Have no fear, step 3 will solve your issue too.

    3. Completely removing all Office 2013/365 components with the Office 2013/365 uninstaller.

    it keeps telling me "something went wrong"

    in Windows 7, nothing is working and I have tried everything on this forum, read everything

    it is for Professional Plus 2013

    I believe I have wasted my money in buying this product

    Same problem - it just says "Something went wrong" "Sorry we ran into a problem" and then directs me to this webpage for help.  This is with Windows 8.  What should I do?
