Problem with copy & paste in Excel 2010

I am running Excel 2010 on Windows 7. I am having a problem with the cut and paste command. This has worked OK for the few months I have been using the program, but the paste options have suddenly stopped working properly.  When I click on paste special, the only options shown are unicode text or text, with no explanation. When I copy and paste formulas, e. g. autosum,  it is not applying them properly to the selected cells, or it is just pasting the values of the copied cells. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office Home and Business 2010, but the problem is still there. Any ideas?

Skype has released an updated version of the Click to Call browser add-on that should be free of the problem mentioned above.

If you want it, go to http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/get-skype/on-your-computer/click-to-call/windows/ and click Download Now.

    Yes, mine also works when I close the internet browser.

    I am  using  the following:

    Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1.

    64 bit

    Office Home and Business 2010.

    Internet Explorer 9

    The problem seems to have started on my computer  last Thursday, 15 March.

    It was fine until then.

    No worries. There are 3 discussions on this same subject now, the info is spread between them.

    For me:

    Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit

    Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010 OEM

    IE8, then upgraded to IE9 and problem persists.

    On Dell hardware.

    Closing all browser windows instantly restores Excel functionality. Seems to have started after the llast "Patch Tuesday"

    For Andy Hiscox and ServiceDeskWC: It would be really helpful to know what browser and version of it you are using also.

    So far your responses point to a problem in 64-bit Windows 7 (Home Premium/Pro) along with MSFT Office Home & Business 2010, but knowing which specific browser could help someone identify the problem more quickly later and perhaps even give Microsoft something to go on towards actually fixinig it.
