Have any of you figured out how to turn this "Welcome back, pick up where you left off" bookmark thing? I've gone through all the options and add-ins I can find, and I can't make it stop doing this.

Thanks!

On the same track I deleted all the subkeys under 'Reading Locations' and then made the 'Reading Locations' key read-only to everyone.

This has stopped Word writing to the key and I no longer get the message when I re-open a document.

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Word\Reading Locations

That looks like a good place to start.

This not the answer people are seeking. ENGLISH is tricky? I uninstalled MS OFC 2013 and went back to MS OFC 2010 and I am happy. I am looking at COREL Office as another option.

Click on Windows Start and then into the Search area, type Regedit.  When Regedit.exe appears, click on it and confirm that you want to make changes to the computer.  Then when the Registry Editor opens, navigate to

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Word\Reading Locations

Then, right click on the key and select Permissions.
