I see. You'd rather argue and play "gotcha." This is where my interactions with you end.
...To everyone else reading this thread, I appear to be in the same magical 5% boat with rocketmama. There are no "preview panes" open when this occurs.
IT'S A FLAWED PRODUCT. PERIOD. It's only just barely short of malware, and frankly there should be a class-action lawsuit.
Oh man... People like you. I can either get angry, or I can laugh. I choose to laugh at you. Let's look objectively at the two parties in this conversation:
On the one hand, you've got me. I'm just a regular guy, like many others on these forums, who is trying to help out other users on the forums, not for pay, not for benefit, simply because I have encountered similar errors and hope to help others.
Then, there's you. You're belligerent, rude and somehow think you're entitled to these free support attempts and that Microsoft somehow *owes* you something. You have argued with and derided every statement I've made, every attempt at help, every suggestion
for a solution. You seem more interested in being holier-than-thou right than in being assisted in finding the solution to the problems. And, what's worse, you hijacked someone else's thread to do it rather than begin your own support conversation.
All that aside, it's your attitude that I find most infuriating. "I use Windows 7, not 8. I wouldn't use 8 if you paid me." Why would you say that so rudely and aggressively? Why do you think you're entitled to such vitriol against a product? Do you
go around talking about Volvos and Mercedes in the same way? "I drive a Honda, not a Ford. I wouldn't drive a Ford if you paid me." Is that the kind of thing you say all the time? Do you then expect a mechanic to joyfully help you resolve your car troubles?
"...and frankly there should be a class-action lawsuit." Against whom? For what tort? What crime was committed against what class of people? Do you contemplate legal recourse when you dislike the pasta at Olive Garden? "This carbonara uses ham, not bacon.
It's only just barely short of garbage, and frankly there should be a class-action lawsuit."
You did get one thing right, though. This is, in fact, where our interactions end, where I cease attempting to help you resolve your issue. You've consistently and repeatedly demonstrated your lack of interest in problem resolution, or even basic troubleshooting.
You've also, to those of us with any kind of technical know-how, demonstrated how woefully ignorant about the product you are. I would even, if I were inclined to be as disrespectful as you, venture a guess that you couldn't even identify the Preview Panes
that you so pejoratively put in quotation marks, but, as I said, that is only something I would bring up were I inclined to incivility. I am not so inclined, though, so I shan't mention it. I shall, however, wish you well in your endeavors and kindly invite
you to take your arrogance and discourteous discourse to your local walk-in tech support shop and leave these forums to those who are legitimately engaged in a search for a solution.
