Hi,

I bought the boxed version of Office 2013 Home and Business English edition at a local store.

I come home, open the box and there's no disc (!??)

I go to office.com/setup as per instructions, enter my key and then forced to created a microsoft account.

While creating the microsoft account, I chose by mistake Canada - French.

At the installation page, I realize that the selected language is French and that I cannot change it.

I go over all th My Account options to find the language setting in order to change it but no hope.

I figure that if I download the media maybe I will get the option of choosing my language... guess what.

I burn the image, pop the disc in and its only in French with no choice of choosing English!!!

Please Help I bought an English version, I want the English version!

Thanks,

Please note: this is not about the input language but the installation language (GUI)

Well I am in the same bucket as all the rest..  I have Spanish instead of English..  I have been waiting for an" On Line Fix" from  MS..  This is a flaw that cannot be fixed by the customer... What if I was to move and had to use another language, I couldn't just go in a change it over....

I also got a card from Best Buy, where I put it is a mystery and now I know that if I tried it would be a waste of time.   Come on MS, just issue a correction disk if some one requests one..  Let the disk download and correct the error.......

I did not make any mistakes. When I selected Language and install options, then from the dropbox I select English. On top of the page it says for MAC, but when I install it downloads an EXE file which is useless for MAC. How can I get the DGM file for my MAC?

    Hi There,

for downloading Office 2013 in any edition.

    • please go to your myaccount page in office.
    • click on where it ask for install , with the architercture that you want to install. Do not bother about the default language that is selected.
    • it will download a small click to run application.
    • do not run that application. Just copy the link of that downloaded click to run application file. Once you get the link copy it and paste it in the address box of Internet explorer and then do the change in address, change language to install into "/en-us/".

That is all you need to do.

    Thanks.

Brilliant smartsanddeep.  This worked for me.

One bit of help for others:

    • when you save, click "view downloads"
    • then right-click on the saved file and select "copy download link"
    • paste URL into Internet Explorer and edit the link for your desired language (for me it was "fr-FR" to "en-us")

The nice thing about this method is that it works for other versions of Office 2013 (i.e. I am using Home & Business 2013) instead of the Office Pro Plus implied in RCTolentino's links (though that method may work as well; haven't tried it).

    Your mileage may vary.
