Hi,

I bought the boxed version of Office 2013 Home and Business English edition at a local store.

I come home, open the box and there's no disc (!??)

I go to office.com/setup as per instructions, enter my key and then forced to created a microsoft account.

While creating the microsoft account, I chose by mistake Canada - French.

At the installation page, I realize that the selected language is French and that I cannot change it.

I go over all th My Account options to find the language setting in order to change it but no hope.

I figure that if I download the media maybe I will get the option of choosing my language... guess what.

I burn the image, pop the disc in and its only in French with no choice of choosing English!!!

Please Help I bought an English version, I want the English version!

Thanks,

Please note: this is not about the input language but the installation language (GUI)

Exactly the same after a day and a half of fooling around FrustratedInGuelph saved the day in a few minutes.

To clarify go into the downloads on the browser you downloaded from to find and save the http.... link address. Then paste it into a new tab in Internet Explorer (I tried Chrome and it did not go anywhere).

Then you have to edit the link address in the browser window the pt-PT into the en-US and hit  enter.

Then it should ask you to save or run the file. Save the file and then run it from your downloads folder or desktop. Only took a few minutes to reinstall, compared to the original download.

    Super fix.

I bought my Office Home and Business 2013, in Mozambique, where Portuguese is the national language, but at purchase time there was no option to select or change the language from Portuguese. I did a cursory search and saw the posts about changing the language through languages preferences or the Office language would mirror that which was in operation on the OS and thought no problems and proceeded to download.  I think MS could save a lot of heartache by letting buyers select the language at check-out as it were. I get by in Portuguese, but it would be a real nightmare for an English or European language traveler having to buy a new version whilst in China or an Arabic country!

I just bought a key for Office 2013 home and student and after having clicked by accident Norwegian instead of Netherlands (Norge vs Nederlands), i got into Norwegian all time.

As I had to reinstall several times, each time it was not possible to change language for installing.

Norwegian is too difficult for me to understand and I need to understand, because I have the impression only part of Office 2013 is installed by now, as no icon is created and cannot find a folder for Office 2013.

I am getting desperate after almost two days of trials...

So Microsoft creating a new key seems to be the only workable option for me as I do not get the programm fully installed and cannot check, because not understanding Norwegian.

Or to spend further money to ask an IT expert getting it fixed, but maybe also not being able to change the chosen sutep-up language.

After spending about 2 hours following different steps listed here, I just bought the language pack for 24.95, prior to taxes.  Im about to download it now.

This did not work for me on Windows 8.1.   You can't view downloads or then copy download link - only save, save as, or save and run. I saved it, got it from downloads, change it in my browser, and it still installed in Portuguese, which I do not speak. any thoughts?
