Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
This morning I hit a problem with Excel which prompted me to use the Change option under Programs and Features. It was only at this point that I discovered that my Office suite is front-ended in Lithuanian
(office kodu ja kool). I certainly did not make this choice when I downloaded the software 4 months ago; nor have I seen any signs of it since. It seems to me that this change may have come in an automatic update done 3 days ago. I followed the instructions here to reinstall the en-us version. The first attempt did not work (I ended up with both versions of Office, presumably with some conflict). I then tried to uninstall all existing office software. The interface in Programs and Features did not allow me to do this; it did nothing at all as far as I can see. I downloaded the microsoft fixit for removing the office suite. This worked (but what a kludge!). Then I followed the instructions to fool the reinstall of the software from MyAccounts to give me the en-us version. This worked. However, the entry on MyAccount still shows that my office suite language is Lithuanian. I fear this may mean that subsequent automatic updates will undo what I have managed (in the course of the last 6 hours, which I shall not get back!) and revert to Lithuanian again. I should like to prevent that. I should like it even more if microsoft would discharge their responsibilities and fix this (...without me having to hang on a phone for hours...).
