Hi,

I bought the boxed version of Office 2013 Home and Business English edition at a local store.

I come home, open the box and there's no disc (!??)

I go to office.com/setup as per instructions, enter my key and then forced to created a microsoft account.

While creating the microsoft account, I chose by mistake Canada - French.

At the installation page, I realize that the selected language is French and that I cannot change it.

I go over all th My Account options to find the language setting in order to change it but no hope.

I figure that if I download the media maybe I will get the option of choosing my language... guess what.

I burn the image, pop the disc in and its only in French with no choice of choosing English!!!

Please Help I bought an English version, I want the English version!

Thanks,

Please note: this is not about the input language but the installation language (GUI)

Snomn - do the following steps allow you to get the Norwegian installation?

    (1) Open the URL https://office.microsoft.com/nb-no/MyAccount.aspx

    (2) Sign-In with your Windows Account

    (3) Select the link 'Språk- og installasjonsalternativer'

    (4) From the dropdown, select 'Norsk'

    (5) Click the 'Installer' button

Malek - is it the English version of Office 365 that you are looking for? If so

    (1) Open the URL https://office.microsoft.com/en-us/MyAccount.aspx

    (2) Sign-In with your Windows Account

    (3) Select the link 'Language and install options'

    (4) From the dropdown, select 'English'

    (5) Click the 'Install' button

    Hi,

I have the exact same problem as Malek. I accidentally registered Office 2013 with Polish instead of Norwegian (I don't know how that happened, maybe I scrolled by mistake or something). I realized my mistake one second after I clicked next, but didn't worry too much about it, thinking that changing the language later on wouldn't be a problem. I was wrong!

At the installation page I realize that the selected language is Polish and that I cannot change it. I don't understand a word of Polish and I can't seem to find a way to change the registered language to the language I wanted. Now I'm stuck with a Polish version of Office 2013 that has little to zero value to me.

I also tried to download Office 2013, hoping I could easily change the language, but no, it was Polish all the way.

And as Malek stated, we're not looking for a language pack, but to change the language that Office 2013 is registered with under office.com/myaccount (which also is the installation language).

The name of the setup file I get when I click download Office 2013 under MyAccount is:

    Setup.X86.pl-PL_HomeStudentRetailxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.exe

The third part of the filename (pl-PL) refers to the language (Polish) and the country (Poland) that the product is registred as and what the setup/downloader will install. I want this to say nb-NO for Norwegian and Norway, e.g.

    Setup.X86.nb-NO_HomeStudentRetail_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx_.exe

Any suggestions on how to change the registered language or do I actually have to call Microsoft to get this fixed? :/

    snomn
