Hi,

I bought the boxed version of Office 2013 Home and Business English edition at a local store.

I come home, open the box and there's no disc (!??)

I go to office.com/setup as per instructions, enter my key and then forced to created a microsoft account.

While creating the microsoft account, I chose by mistake Canada - French.

At the installation page, I realize that the selected language is French and that I cannot change it.

I go over all th My Account options to find the language setting in order to change it but no hope.

I figure that if I download the media maybe I will get the option of choosing my language... guess what.

I burn the image, pop the disc in and its only in French with no choice of choosing English!!!

Please Help I bought an English version, I want the English version!

Thanks,

Please note: this is not about the input language but the installation language (GUI)

    Hi There,

for downloading Office 2013 in any edition.

    • please go to your myaccount page in office.
    • click on where it ask for install , with the architercture that you want to install. Do not bother about the default language that is selected.
    • it will download a small click to run application.
    • do not run that application. Just copy the link of that downloaded click to run application file. Once you get the link copy it and paste it in the address box of Internet explorer and then do the change in address, change language to install into "/en-us/".

That is all you need to do.

    Thanks.

Brilliant smartsanddeep.  This worked for me.

One bit of help for others:

    • when you save, click "view downloads"
    • then right-click on the saved file and select "copy download link"
    • paste URL into Internet Explorer and edit the link for your desired language (for me it was "fr-FR" to "en-us")

The nice thing about this method is that it works for other versions of Office 2013 (i.e. I am using Home & Business 2013) instead of the Office Pro Plus implied in RCTolentino's links (though that method may work as well; haven't tried it).

    Your mileage may vary.

    hi there,

I seem to be in the same boat as malek too.

somehow the language selection dropped one choice onto French.

I now have office 2013 in French and cant understand how to switch back to English.

MS phonelines have been rubbish, just back and forth to links that are not related.

I have uninstalled office now, but if I go back to office.com and to my account I just get an error saying come back later...

I selected English from a choice of English or Spanish and of course selected English but it took me through in English and when I opened it the programs were in Spanish. This is the issue with Microsoft and their soft list selection. A verification for the list selection would be nice and would save the Support Desk thousands of hours but who am I? Just a jerk who keeps buying Microsoft infested PC's.
