Microsoft Office 2003 suites and applications aren’t compatible with Windows 8 (or Windows 8 Pro).

If you have Office 2003, it’s recommended that you upgrade to a newer version of Office to avoid any potential problems.

You should also go to the Windows Compatibility Center to see if the applications and devices on your PC are compatible with Windows 8.

Office 2003 still works on Windows 10. I don't think that Microsoft go in for deliberately damaging software on computers not belonging to them. It would be unlawful. Although, Microsoft sometimes pushes upgrades that interferes with older software, it did so with Windows 10 and it continues to do so with Office 365. At least it appears to do so!

Then how come I can install it on all of my computers that came installed with vista on them then up-grated to windows 10? Seems it should work on windows 10 unless they removed it from the latest up-grade so we can't use it and have to up-grade to office 2016. But it dose work just fine with the up-grade from vista to windows 10.

Yes, just add it is also a good idea to download the 2007 compatibility pack so that you can open .docx files as well as .xlsx files.
