I tried both of these ideas, but it hasn't made a difference. Here are my details
Windows 8 64 bit
i7 intel processor
8 gb memory
2tb hard drive, entirely clean
Office home and business
Stand alone copy of Publisher 2013 purchased from Amazon Downloads.
The biggest problem that I have is when you move any item, image or text box, it doesn't move smoothly or accurately. Therefore you have to use the arrow keys to place everything ONE CLICK AT A TIME. It will slowly move things that way, but if
you rapid fire click, you will overshoot your placement. As everyone knows, placement is the reason why we aren't using Word for the job. It is extremely frustrating. I guess I am going to just uninstall it and pony up the price for indesign. I am SOOOO
disappointed in this though. I have used Publisher for years and really been happy with what it could do. I don't need indesign and I don't know how to use it.
Also, it seems really difficult to find a print preview, and I have had some differences between the way the document looks on screen and prints with art fonts.
