What replaces office picture manager in office 2013?

The Office Picture Manager has been a very quick and easy tool to use, built into Office and readily available no matter what machine I have to use.  I would rather not have to install 3rd party software to do what MS has made easy to do in the past.

Any word on what this app is called now and where it's hidden in the Office 2013 install?

The best workaround I've found is to use the free SharePoint Designer 2010 to bootstrap the MS Office Picture Manager.

You can get the SharePoint Installer from this post:

The short version is to run the installer.  

Then choose "Customize" instead of "Install Now".  

Then deselect everything that's not "Office Tools" > "Microsoft Office Picture Manager"

Hey John,

You are correct that Office Picture Manager was removed from the suite. Inside programs such as PowerPoint and Word there are still editing tools. You also have Windows Live Photo Gallery which I feel is a much more program specific picture editing tool. Hopefully the small change does not effect your trial of the Next Microsoft Office.

    This is not a "small change" and is quite disappointing.   All the tools you suggest are clunky when it comes to simply viewing photos individually or as a gallery, and doing simple edits (crop, rotate, resize).

    I think Microsoft Photo Gallery allows rotation.  That's it.

    I just spent 10 minutes downloading and starting up Live Photo Gallery (after time spent researching and finding that Picture Manager simply is not included in my recent download of 2013).  After I linked the folder with photos I wanted to view and edit, I was finally able to do something, but it was not simple.

    Sorry to be grumpy...just trying to be productive over here.  Looking for the "Easy Button" that we used to have.

    I am also very disappointed in seeing the Picture Manger vanish. First the good old Photo-editor vanished, and now this one.

    Many of us were depending on it mostly to re-size the big-size pictures before sending in mail.

    Microsoft is forcing us to go for non-Microsoft product. Hope they rectifies it by sending a patch.

    I want to rotate picture 1 degree forward or backward. Advice which application is working such king of job as picture manager.
