What replaces office picture manager in office 2013?

The Office Picture Manager has been a very quick and easy tool to use, built into Office and readily available no matter what machine I have to use.  I would rather not have to install 3rd party software to do what MS has made easy to do in the past.

Any word on what this app is called now and where it's hidden in the Office 2013 install?

The best workaround I've found is to use the free SharePoint Designer 2010 to bootstrap the MS Office Picture Manager.

You can get the SharePoint Installer from this post:

The short version is to run the installer.  

Then choose "Customize" instead of "Install Now".  

Then deselect everything that's not "Office Tools" > "Microsoft Office Picture Manager"

Hey John,

You are correct that Office Picture Manager was removed from the suite. Inside programs such as PowerPoint and Word there are still editing tools. You also have Windows Live Photo Gallery which I feel is a much more program specific picture editing tool. Hopefully the small change does not effect your trial of the Next Microsoft Office.

    As others have stated, you can use either an office 2010 installation disk, or SharePoint designer 2010 installer. http://www.technicaloverload.com/install-office-picture-manager-office-2013/

    Pretty smart idea. I will do the same as I heavily use the batch rename feature .

    Photo Gallery is pretty impressive tool that has a lot to offer. I suggest everyone to download it and get used to it. I hope they add the batch Rename feature that was in OPM to Photo Gallery pretty soon.

    Photo Gallery is terrible.  It doesn't allow you to resize a picture, crop it, adjust the colors or anything the MS Office Picture Manger allowed you to do.  Guess I'll have to go to someone other than MS to give me the same thing we used to have.

    Robert,

    I disagree with you. Live Photo Gallery sucks. It does not have the functionality that I need. I never use it, and I don't intend to use it. For my company, we are staying with Windows 7 until Microsoft gets beyond the 2013 screw up. For me, I took the risk, and I have been unhappy. Microsoft should listen to their customers as opposed to experimenting with dysfunctional products.
