What replaces office picture manager in office 2013?

The Office Picture Manager has been a very quick and easy tool to use, built into Office and readily available no matter what machine I have to use.  I would rather not have to install 3rd party software to do what MS has made easy to do in the past.

Any word on what this app is called now and where it's hidden in the Office 2013 install?

The best workaround I've found is to use the free SharePoint Designer 2010 to bootstrap the MS Office Picture Manager.

You can get the SharePoint Installer from this post:

The short version is to run the installer.  

Then choose "Customize" instead of "Install Now".  

Then deselect everything that's not "Office Tools" > "Microsoft Office Picture Manager"

Hey John,

You are correct that Office Picture Manager was removed from the suite. Inside programs such as PowerPoint and Word there are still editing tools. You also have Windows Live Photo Gallery which I feel is a much more program specific picture editing tool. Hopefully the small change does not effect your trial of the Next Microsoft Office.

    Windows Live Photo Gallery performs nothing like Picture Manager!!!! Photo Gallery doesn't do crops or any of the thing that Picture Manager did. BRING BACK PICTURE MANAGER WITH THE NEXT UPDATE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I used to be a frequent user of  the MSOPM, and I really miss it in this new Office version.

    I have been using Windows 8 for some weeks, and one of the new features that I most like, is the MS Store, which provide so many download options.

    I would like to ask for an Office update, including an updated version of MSOPM. I think it will be useful for all MS Office home users, and I am sure that MS Office Team is capable to do it.

    Thank you for considering this matter, not as a particular one, but as something that could be useful for many MS Office users like me.

    Like all of you guys, i also hate the new Photo Viewer app of Windows 8. With office Picture Manager it was so easy to crop, re size and even brighten a pic. 

    Yesterday I installed office 2007 and its working beautifully. So if u have the CD or Setup of Office 2007, just go ahead and install it. :-)
