What replaces office picture manager in office 2013?

The Office Picture Manager has been a very quick and easy tool to use, built into Office and readily available no matter what machine I have to use.  I would rather not have to install 3rd party software to do what MS has made easy to do in the past.

Any word on what this app is called now and where it's hidden in the Office 2013 install?

The best workaround I've found is to use the free SharePoint Designer 2010 to bootstrap the MS Office Picture Manager.

You can get the SharePoint Installer from this post:

Then, for more detailed instructions, you can follow the Guide Here:

The short version is to run the installer.  

Then choose "Customize" instead of "Install Now".  

Then deselect everything that's not "Office Tools" > "Microsoft Office Picture Manager"

Hey John,

You are correct that Office Picture Manager was removed from the suite. Inside programs such as PowerPoint and Word there are still editing tools. You also have Windows Live Photo Gallery which I feel is a much more program specific picture editing tool. Hopefully the small change does not effect your trial of the Next Microsoft Office.

    Okay, maybe you can use Windows Live Photo Gallery to replace Ms. Office Picture Manager

    I absolutely hate the new photo gallery picture editor!  WHO pays these idiots to make such bad decisions.  I am considering going away from 365 and office 2013 to go back to version that had the old picture manager.  Or look for a 3rd party software.  But then why should I keep paying extra money to MS if they don't deserve it.  Dump monthly subscription of 365 and go find an older version sounds like a better possibility.  

    It use to be a piece of cake to resize a picture to use as a thumbnail and etc but now what a joke.

    great, you hate it. Glad you have expressed your opinion. Maybe if enough people comment MS will listen and react in a positive manner.

    BUT, If instead of just "me-too-ing" on this discussion, if you read through the previous comments you will find links to get the 2007 Picture Manager For Free.  I'll leave it to you to do the "work" of finding it by paging back through this discussion.
